Curried Chops

I learnt about this dish via a friend of mine. In all the time I grew up, I hadn’t heard about anyone making a curry out of chops. She explained it was like making a mutton curry. Since I dont like or eat mutton in a hurry, I thought I’d try making curry out of the chops.

What you need:

  • a tray of chops
  • chopped onion
  • 1t chilli powder
  • 1t dhania & jeera powder
  • ½ t gharam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • Green chilli
  • Ginger / garlic

Method:
Saute onions in oil.
Add spices and salt.
Throw in the chops, coating it nicely with the spices.
Add ginger / garlic and green chilli.
Let the chops cook on low – medium for about 25 minutes.
Add the tomatoes after it has been liquidized.
Cook until a nice thick gravy is formed.

Serve with Roti.
